Information society and cultural dimensions

Is it the changes in our society that lead to constant development in ICT, or is it the development in ICT that continue to develope our society and give us new opputunities?
Today we live in a ineractive world where we constantly take part in new developments. For many of us, the changes happen so fast that it is hard to capture everything.
We know more about different cultures around the world today, than we did thirty years ago. We can also spread different information to the entire world by using different parts of the media. The world is going through a globalisation where communication with different part of the world is common, at the same time as certain cultures seem to lose distinctive qualities. As norms and values changes with our societies, new cultures occur. Many people, especially the old ones, tend to feel that they lose control in a changing society.
The opptunity to experience a global community is a highly dicussed topic and we can discuss however a globalisation will increase the global soidarity.
I think it is interesting to see how the technology contribute to a global community. An increasing global community can be done by for expample confereces through the internet, and also I believe that giving important messages through music, like here with "Playing For Change, Peace Through Music" can increase a global feeling.
